Dr. Hanun Fauziah Abd Ghani graduated from University Kebangsaan Malaysia with
MD and M.Med (Radiology) degrees. She has served in multiple hospitals of the MOH for
almost 34 years, contributing as a radiologist in the past 24 years. She has contributed
greatly to the development of digital medical imaging services and was a core team
member for setting up Hospital Putra Jaya and Hospital Serdang. She was on the
national committee for development and quality assurance of radiology services in the
MOH.
Prof. Dr. Abdul Kareem Meera Mohaideen graduated from Taylor's University,
Malaysia. Dr. Hj. Abdul Kareem Meera Mohaideen, with a passion for academic and
research works but enjoyed often in public/professional invited speeches on Medical and
social themes is currently working in Taylor’s University Malaysia. After completing basic
degree in Medicine in 1973, post-graduation in Radiology and Imaging in 1978 and
special training in Japan for cross sectional imaging, he worked several teaching
hospitals and medical Institutions since forty (44) years and as a specialist/consultant in
Radiology and Imaging for thirty eight (39) years. He received his fellowships in 1980.
He had been a facilitator for many Intensive courses/seminars such as Good Clinical
practice (GCP), Moral /ethics and communication and courses for General Medical
Practitioners and specialists. His academic work and leadership have been widely
recognized in 72 areas such as chairman/facilitator in universities, editor and reviewer in
journals, scholar /leader in professional bodies, societies and associations etc. He had
appeared a few times on media.
Lee Peter completed his Master of Science (Medical Radiation Physics) from
University of London. Prior to that, he holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) from
University of Science Malaysia. He started practising as a medical physicist at
Hospital Kuala Lumpur for 19 years and at the same time he also worked as a
lecturer in School of Radiographers at the same hospital. He then worked as
Principals Assistant Director (Radiation Health and Safety Unit) before becoming a
Deputy Director (Radiation Health and Safety Unit) at the Ministry of Health
Malaysia for control and licensing of the use of radiation in medicine. He started to
work as a research officer and advanced his career to become Head of Health
Physics Unit at Nuclear Medicine for 6 years. He then worked as Radiation Safety
Consultant and Manager of Non-Ionizing Radiation (NIR) Group at Nuclear
Malaysia. He was then appointed as Director in Radiation Health and Safety
Division at Nuclear Medicine for 5 years before his retirement.
Elly Nadia Che Afzar completed her Bachelor Degree in Medical Imaging (Hons)
from University Technology of Mara (UiTM). Prior to that, she holds a Diploma in
Medical Imaging from the same university.
She started practicing as a Radiographer at Pantai Ampang Hospital and was
practising in-charge of the X-ray Department based in MAS Medical Centre for 2
years. After which she worked at the Forrest Medical Centre where she acquired
mammogram and open MRI experiences. She is currently a lecturer at Vision
College, Kelana Jaya.
